The pub is delightful with a really warm and welcoming ambience. We were seated by the open fire (bliss!) and had the most amazing food. The chicken liver pate is to die for and the calves liver was cooked to perfection. My husband had the mushrooms to start and one of the home-made pies, which he demolished with relish. Really could not reccommend this enough and can't wait to return! Excellent! (Also within walking distance of our B&B, "The Little House" which I would also highly reccommend!) During the past year, we finally got around to savouring the menu and were delighted, especially as they do smaller portions which are ample and leave sufficient room to enjoy the dessert! The service is always commendable and the cuisine is wonderful. We have yet to try the a la carte, but I'm sure we won't be disappointed. I would thoroughly recommend The Biddestone to anybody considering a visit. Excellent!! The fillet we had at Biddestone Arms was perfect! Perfect meat, perfectly cooked and perfect in size. We'll be definitely back for a second helping! I could choose from a gluten free homemade pie to battered cod and chips, it was simply amazing and tasted delicious! My family too enjoyed lovely meals and the staff were so accomodating, I would recommend the pub to everyone, especially any coeliacs! My personal favorite is the wonderful rich chicken liver paté starter, followed by the grilled Venison that melts in the mouth... and to finish i can not resist the chocoholic pudding!!!!! My husband is a big fan of the creamy garlic mushroom starter, usually most often orders belly of wiltshire pork for a main and also sometimes indulges in the fillet steak- cooked to his taste by the chef.... not one with a sweet tooth, he finishes his meal with a heartwarming brandy from the bar!!!! Our children, both under 6 years old love coming to the biddestone, the staff make them feel most welcome and they enjoy the home made lasange and home made chicken nuggets. Also in the past when the children were younger, and going through a fussy eating stage , we asked the staff for a ham sandwich, or egg on toast and they catered to our childrens needs. We LOVE the sunday carvery!!!... (well, it means i do not have to cook!) ... with a choice of beef, turkey, witlshire ham, and pork to choose from, plus a huge selection of fresh hot veg and home-made yourkshire puddings ... and real rich gravy to accompany the fine food. On the whole, our family love visiting the biddestone.. we feel welcome and relaxed, and in the 3 years we have been going there- we have got to know the staff and become friends with other regulars too. I have not one complaint,- and nothing but praise for the biddestone arms. Also try the dessert menu, They are to die for, especially the chocolate. It was very welcoming and very relaxing. We had a really good time there and hope to go back for a Christmas meal, if it is not booked up.
